Turned and carved wood. Pastel art pencils. Lacquer topcoat.

Another cute little box that got itself lost...and found. Karen used artist's oil based pencils to add the lovely watercolor-esque floral pattern. Top coated with lacquer that fortunately did not affect the pattern. Top coats can offer surprises on occasion. Holly wood is a good canvas for the translucent pastel images. 4" x 2-3/4" Thank you for looking!
